Pennsville and Deepwater Fire Companies participated in the WTC Iron and Steel Run on August 28, 2010. The steel from the WTC was escorted to Arlington National Cemetary and the Pentagon to be used for memorials. The State of NJ, through the NJSP, escorted the steel and ensured every overpass from New York to Delaware was staffed with fire trucks and American Flags.
